As an ordained minister, she uses her platform at the salon to inspire, empower, and share the message of Christ with others. Her commitment to making a positive impact led her to establish the Standard Women's Empowerment Network and The Double Standard Youth and Young Adult Empowerment Network.

Family is at the heart of Erica's life, and she cherishes her role as a loving wife to her husband Derrick, devoted mother to her daughter, Jada and bonus mother to Laderricka, Jamila, Derrick Jr., and Destiny.
