Native Memphian Erica Nathan proudly represents the Orange Mound community. She is a 1992 graduate of Melrose High School. Erica is a hairstylist with over 25 years of experience in the beauty industry. Her love for the beauty and hair business started at the early age of 9 when she and her friends would play dress up. Erica would doll them up by making up their faces, coloring their hair with Kool-Aid, and even using table scissors to cut their bangs! Once she graduated from high school, Erica was led to go to hair school to obtain her license in cosmetology. With faith, vision, and a natural flair for her craft, she opened a salon at the age of 20. As her business began to grow, Erica began to recognize that this career was not all about styling hair, it was a ministry. God used her salon as a platform to motivate, empower, and connect with women of all ages. In 2009, Erica also saw the need to beautify and pamper little girls just as she did with women, so she opened Dollz and Diamondz, a kids mobile spa company which was the first kids spa company in Memphis. Shortly after opening the kids spa, this serial entrepreneur further utilized her creativity of time management and decor to start E. Nathan Designs and now E Nathan Design Studio, an event planning company and venue that has proudly served brides and birthday party planners all over the country. Erica is the owner and founder of E Nathan Hair Studio, E Nathan Consulting, The Standard Women's Empowerment, The Double Standard Youth Empowerment, Women Who Brunch, and The Discovery Zone

She is a licensed/ordained minister, motivation speaker, business coach, entrepreneur and author.

As a preacher, visionary, hairstylist, event planner, God has mandated  her to help entrepreneurs/creatives  to discovery their gifts and talents.

Erica is a supportive and loving wife of her husband Derrick and a devoted mother of 1 daughter  Jada and 4 bonus Children  Laderricka, Jamila, Derrick Jr, and Destiny. Most importantly, she loves the Lord. She has never met a stranger and continuously draws people to her with her loving spirit.
